Barmy Beetles is a fledgeling company that supply chauffeur driven Volkswagen Bugs and Buses predominately for wedding guests but we do also supply our vehicles for film and advertising work. We are based in Alverstoke on the south coast and mainly cover Hampshire including the Isle of Wight, London, Sussex, Surrey, Wiltshire and Dorset. We will travel further afield but have found that the costs involved normally prohibit this, but if you would like one of our vehicles outside of these areas please contact us you may well be pleasantly surprised.

At the moment we have got 5 classic Beetles, 1 splitscreen van, 1 bay window van and 1 new beetle for hire. All our cars are regularly maintained and we carry out a programme of regular improvements to our fleet, fitting new carpets, new hoods, having them re-sprayed in fact if there is something that doesn't look right or is looking a bit tired we will redress the situation as soon as we are practically able to do so, if it is a safety issue then this is redressed immediately.

All our vehicles are owned either by Barmy Beetles Ltd or its Directors, we do not use associates, If we can't supply one of our vehicles on your chosen day we will tell you and hopefully put you in touch with someone that can. We have decided on this policy not only so that we can be certain of how the cars are maintained and presented but also that they carry the proper documentation and insurances. We are more than happy to work with other companies that you may also chose to use and are quite prepared to supply ribbons and bows for your own or friends cars that may also be used in conjunction with our car/cars.

Barmy Beetles will work with you to create your dream day, we will dress the vehicles in ribbons and bows in a colour of your choice, add flower arrangements and supply a complementary bottle of bubbly (or alternative) to toast your happiness together.

On your big day we will arrive 30 minutes before the pick up time so that you have got ample time for some photographs

and for us to make sure the car is looking its best, our smartly dressed or uniformed driver complete with cap if you prefer will escort you into the car and take you to your wedding venue (we will do more than one trip if the distance is not to great), while you are getting married your chauffeur will prepare the car for the journey to your reception (if booked to do so) and make sure the champagne is chilled, we will give you plenty of time for the photographs and even take you for a drive if your wedding and reception are at the same venue, we understand that sometimes even with all the best planning things do go wrong and people get delayed, rest assured we will try to accommodate any last minute change of plans and will be as flexible as possible to accommodate your wishes, we don't book our vehicles out for more than one wedding a day so extra time will never be a problem

At the moment we have got three Karmann Beetle Convertibles but we only ever book out two on the same day unless all three are for the same booking, we do this to insure that we always have a back up one should the worst happen. We also have our own back up car that can carry 7 so even if there is a problem with one of the vans we can still get you to the church or venue on time.

Our back up capability, the quality of our vehicles and the service that we provide has led us to be the south's premier VW wedding car hire company.

Barmy Beetles are quite happy to carry out bookings for civil ceremonies and same sex weddings.
