Barmy Beetles is a company that supply chauffeur driven Volkswagen Bugs and Buses predominately for wedding guests but we do also supply our vehicles for film and advertising work. We are based in Horndean just of the A3/M on the south coast and cover Hampshire and its surrounding counties, We used to cover a much wider area using our own transporters but due to the continual attempts to steal them we have had to remove this option and will now only cover a 50 mile radius of Horndean, we are prepared to go further afield but the cost would have to include the cost of hiring a transporter. We would estimate that to cover the costs of the hire fee and the extra work associated with collecting and returning the transporter there would be an extra charge of between £150 and £200 on top of the price of carrying out the booking. At the moment we have got 2 classic Karmann Convertible Beetles, 1 splitscreen van, 1 bay window van and 1 new style convertible beetle for hire. All our cars are regularly maintained and we carry out a programme of regular improvements to our fleet, fitting new carpets, new hoods, having them re-sprayed in fact if there is something that doesn't look right or is looking a bit tired we will redress the situation as soon as we are practically able to do so, if it is a safety issue then this is redressed immediately.

All our vehicles are owned either by Barmy Beetles Ltd or its Directors, we do not use associates, If we can't supply one of our vehicles on your chosen day we will tell you and hopefully put you in touch with someone that can. We have decided on this policy not only so that we can be certain of how the cars are maintained and presented but also that they carry the proper documentation and insurances. We are more than happy to work with other companies that you may also chose to use and are quite prepared to supply ribbons and bows for your own or friends cars that may also be used in conjunction with our car/cars.

Barmy Beetles will work with you to create your dream day, we will dress the vehicles in ribbons and bows in a colour of your choice, add flower arrangements and supply a complementary bottle of bubbly (or alternative) to toast your happiness together.

On your big day we will arrive 30 minutes before the time that you need to leave to reach your ceremony on time, this means that you have got ample time for some photographs and for us to make sure the car is looking its best, our smartly dressed driver will escort you into the car and take you to your wedding venue (we will do more than one trip if the distance is not to great), while you are getting married your chauffeur will prepare the car for the journey to your reception (if booked to do so) and make sure the bubbly is chilled, we will give you plenty of time for the photographs and even take you for a drive if your wedding and reception are at the same venue, we understand that sometimes even with all the best planning things do go wrong and people get delayed, rest assured we will try to accommodate any last minute change of plans and will be as flexible as possible to accommodate your wishes, we don't book our vehicles out for more than one wedding a day so extra time will never be a problem

Barmy Beetles are quite happy to carry out bookings for civil ceremonies and same sex weddings.
